Do you wonder if your child is ready to go for concerts? Oh I know, I am a parent too, and it was a nightmare for me when my child went around the concert hall shushing the others when I told her to "keep quiet and listen to music". It backfired and I knew then she was not ready. So we had to sit outside the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver for the remaining 50 minutes of the concert. No fun, mommy was missing out a lot!
Cultivate your child how to be a good audience with good awareness actually starts from home. In any case, it is just much more fun if you can improve the quality of being at home with your child with good music! How about we try the activities below at home first? See how it goes? When your child shows responses to music - and I mean any responses - that is good sign! You might see them move to music, dance to music, feeling calm, giggling, and having all that responses at home is fine, we are not at the concert hall (yet!).
