Spring Studio Class

Unlike a recital, where students perform and receive applause, a studio class invites students to actively listen, offer constructive feedback, and learn how to receive thoughtful comments themselves. I find this format even more valuable than a recital, as it allows students not only to run through their exam repertoire, but also to understand how their playing is truly perceived by listeners.

This will be a guided, supportive, and positive environment, fear not! In fact, my usual concern is quite the opposite: students are often too kind. While encouragement is important, artistry grows from honesty and sincerity. I believe meaningful musical expression is best cultivated through thoughtful, genuine reflection.

This studio class is an opportunity to develop deeper listening skills, musical awareness, and artistic maturity, all are essential qualities for both exams and lifelong musicianship. This event is free of charge to participate. There are four spots available, and prioritized for students…
